Job losses rise after slight easing

May 14th, 2009

So, here we go again, another week of RISING JOB LOSSES.

Last week, the pundits were falling all over themselves declaring the recession over, when job losses eased slightly…

But, here we go, the talking heads have no clue what to do now that job losses have increased AGAIN!

Who is getting jobs right now

April 17th, 2009

I just keep asking myself… who is actually hiring? Who is able to get a job? And if you can find a job, are you moving up, sideways, or down the ladder? I think that is a very important thing… if the majority of people finding a new job are moving DOWN the LADDER - that is almost as bad as their original layoff/job loss, etc. What do you think?

Having trouble finding a job

March 31st, 2009

If you are having trouble finding a job, consider this: there are over 5 Million Americans out of work… that’s a lot of people. This is not the good ole days anymore, where anyone who wants to work, can get a job. This is a totally new reality… stock full of competitiveness and hard work… imagine just a few years ago, when the average regional manager complained daily about not being able to find qualified applicants for managers… they would lament how they had to settle on clearly underqualified people who would almost always dissapoint… then file some sort of lawsuit when fired, etc… no, today, you actually have to have talent, be willing to work hard, and work hard to get a job… all things that an able bodied applicant didn’t need a few years ago…

Now a word from our sponsor - If you want info about a lasik surgery blog or lasik information or a lasik blog or an eye surgery blog… might I suggest searching the internet via Google and Yahoo, or better yet go directly to a great lasik blog called IQ Lasik Blog. He is the founder and medical director of IQ Laser Vision. Dr. Lin seems to answer a lot of good questions and provides a ton of lasik information about lasik and the lasik blog called IQ Lasik Blog is highly reccommended by me. So, if you are ever in need of lasik Los Angeles - be sure to look up IQ Laser Vision and read a great lasik blog called IQ Lasik Blog. - end advertisement.

Now back to your trouble finding a good job… well, I could tell you not to worry, just keep looking, your time will come… but, I am not going to say that. You could very well be one of those lazy, underqualified jerks that filled up the ranks of associate, assistant manager, and even manager in so many locations and branches that are now closing down and dying like flies… so, I only have this for advice… work harder than you ever worked, work harder then you ever did to land a job, stop being lazy, go improve yourself by adding to your schooling… whatever you do, don’t just sit around and hope a good paying job is going to land on your head… those days are over… deal with it.

Obama Jobs Stimulus Plan

February 20th, 2009

I know so many people right now that don’t have jobs. Or the company they worked for just went out of business… or, their hours got cut way back… or their sales or commission is way down… or their wife, husband, sibling, or parent is in that situation right now… its bad out there people, real bad. I am really hoping that Obamas Jobs Stimulus plan will save or create 4 million jobs like Obama said it will do… the worst thing that could happen is for it not to work. I don’t know if it will work… but, I sure hope it does work. If things don’t start getting better, people are not going to have money to pay for the expenses that we need, I also know someone who works in the medical industry and he told me that he got his eyes fixed by Dr. Robert T Lin - and has highly recommended Dr. Robert T Lin as a top Lasik Eye Surgeon for Lasik Los Angeles -he also told me about a great lasik blog called IQ Lasik Blog. It seems to have a lot of great lasik information about lasik and IQ Lasik Blog seems to be written by a well respected  lasik surgeon - Dr. Robert T. Lin. So, my friend who works in the medical industry was telling me that a lot of people he knows are having problems… and that a lot of things have changed in the industry. He is hoping that his industry wont be affected by this current recession - I told him I wasnt sure what would happen… I just said, I really really hope that Obamas plan works. So, lets all hope.

Jobs! - Unemployment hits 8% in California

November 21st, 2008

This is SHOCKING NEWS… I just read an article on Yahoo Finance, that the unemployment rate in California just hit above 8%… that is huge, that is devastating… is this just the beginning ?

What about undocumented workers ? Are they included in these numbers ? If they are not, I wonder what the true number is…

I know that my brother has been worried about his job for a very long time. He works with his hands, and a while back he had his eyes fixed by Dr. Robert T Lin - and he has highly recommended Dr. Robert T Lin as a top Lasik Eye Surgeon for Lasik Los Angeles - and I think he is very happy that he does not have to wear glasses anymore, considering that it would make it a little less easy to perform his work if he had to worry about wearing glasses.

Do you know anyone who has lost their job recently ?

Jobs update

October 10th, 2008

So, has anyone been directly affected by all this ? Has anyone experienced a loss of jobs ?

Does anyone know what the impacts of all this market instability has had from a historical context ?

I wonder if we are in a recession yet… and if we are, when will we start hearing about it ?

Can you find a job in this tough economy ?

September 19th, 2008

This is a tough economy… no doubt about it.

Unless you are independently wealthy… you probably either know someone close to you that has been affected by this softening economy, or you have been directly affected by it.

So, can you find a job in this tough economy if you had to ? Some of you may already be in this situation… and some others may feel secure right now… but, you should still ask yourself that tough question:

Can I find a job in this tough economy if I had to ?

Budget Web Hosting

July 14th, 2008

I get asked about the idea of setting up your own website for your resume. Its actually a great idea. You can register your domain name, and then just have your website be an online resume. It will most likely impress most potential employers. So, if you want to setup your own resume website, you could try a Budget Web Hosting company… since, I know of a great Web Hosting company that could host this type of website… www.nomonthlyfees.com - they are a great Budget Web Hosting company, and should be able to host your resume, etc. website and you can also register your domain name without a problem. Debt Relief When You Lose Your Job

March 30th, 2008

Money worries and serious debt are becoming major issues that will have to be acknowledged by people living in the West; ignoring the situation will just make things worse. So the sooner you sit down and recognize that you need to do something, the quicker your debt relief will start. The only way out of this situation is by learning how to control your money.

At this point you need to stay positive and remember that if you start experiencing stress over your financial situation it will affect how you handle it. The order of the day is to continue paying your debts of regularly unless you want your credit rating to plummet.

Step one is to sit down and list all your monthly expenses and place them into columns of those that must be paid and those that you can live without. It is a fact that when you pay for goods or services using cash instead of your credit card that the spending will automatically reduce.

Any spare money can then be placed in a special fund to help with your debt relief payments and although it will take some time for a reasonable amount to accumulate, you will see the benefits in time. If you are someone who enjoys going out for a meal of other entertainment on a regular basis then you need to cut back and you will be surprised how much money you can save each month.

Whilst home refinancing is a way to pay off your debts many people try to reduce their outgoings instead, this just gives the person a bigger mortgage but this just increases the amount you will pay in the future. Before you go down this route you must think about why you want this option when there are others that can be used.

Whilst not an ideal solution to paying a credit card installment, it is possible to withdraw cash to do this providing it is not looked upon as a long term plan. If re-financing your home does not work then you must consider filing for bankruptcy but this step should not be taken before you take specialist advice from a bankruptcy attorney.

Although it can be done, bankruptcy can be avoided by using the savings you have in your individual retirement account is the last method you should ever consider to pay off your debts. As debt relief methods go, this one poses the greatest risk long term so be aware of the pitfalls before you proceed.
